My first goal is to work for peace and national unity of my country, said Dr Shaida Abdali, who resigned as the Afghan Ambassador to Indiayesterday.
''I found India very close to my heart. I received love and warmth that is unforgettable,'' he added.
The resignation of Abdali came on the same day Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani visited India and met India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Tweeting his resignation out, Abdali wrote, “India not only gave me a home feeling but added a wealth of knowledge and plethora of experience to my over 2 decades-long political career.”
