American actor and comedian Will Ferrell has released an off-beat advertisement in support of Democratic party candidate and vice president Kamala Harris shortly before the US presidential election 2024. The ad, delivering the message 'every vote counts,' was released a couple of days before the US goes to election to choose the new president on November 5.
Ferrell especially pointed out to the people who think on the lines 'one vote won't matter' with the example of last election's close result which resulted in Republican party candidate and incumbent president Donald Trump's close loss.

“This election is going to be one of the closest in history,” Ferrell said in the ad.
“Your vote will make the difference. That means you, Gary. ‘Oh blah, blah, blah; I’m just one person,' the 57-year-old continued.
“No, shut the f‑‑‑ up, Gary,” he said.
“Last time, only a few thousand votes kept Trump out of office. And this time, we’ll hold you personally responsible, Gary,” he said in the ad, named 'That Means You.'
“Don’t forget to vote, Gary,” Ferrell added.
It is to be noted that there was a riot in January 2021, two months after Trump had lost the election to Joe Biden in November 2020. The protesters had stormed the Capitol on January 6 in support of Trump, claiming fraud in the election.
Keeping the situation in mind, the stores and businesses in the capital city of Washington D.C. have put up plywood planks in anticipation of another riot if Trump loses.
The National Guard is also on standby while the security has been enhanced at major institutions to avoid any mishap this time.
According to a report by news outlet Washington Post, the US Secret Services have built fences around the White House, Treasury Department complex, Lafayette Square, and the Naval Observatory.
