A row of outrage has been triggered in South Africa after a seven-year-oldwas allegedly raped by a 20-year-old man in apopular family restroom in Pretoria.
According to media reports, the girl had gone to the restroom when the accused followed her and grabbed her. He thenraped her in the men's restroom.
The accused was arrested at the restaurant after her mother alerted customers and the restaurant staff after she heardvoice coming from the restroom when she had gone to look for her daughter.
The manreportedly has been charged with rape and possession of drugs.
In a separate case this week, a 17-year-old girl was also raped just after she gavebirth to her child. The assailannt reportedly posed as doctor and raped her in the hospital in Eastern Cape province.
A 23-year-old university student committed a suicide in August. After police launched an investgation into the matter, it was reported that she was raped by another student at the university campus.

The recent series of crimes related to sexual violence in South Africa has triggered a massive anger amongpeople.
Woman have pointed out that they no longer feel safe in the country and said that such frequent incidents have made South Africa a "dangerous place to raise female children."
Some women also observed that the justice system in South Africa is too lenient towards inhuman crimes and have asked the governmemt to increase the sentence for rape and other forms of sexual crimes.
According to a report by BBC, South Africa has one of the highest incidents of rape in the world.
The police recorded 40,035 rapes in the 12 months this year till March 31, an average of 110 each day; BBC reported citing a fact-checking Africa organisation.
According to estimates released by the national statistical service of South Africa, 138 out of every 100,00 women in the country were raped in 2017.
The figure is among the highest in the world due to which some have alsolabelled South Africa the 'rape capital of the world'.
As the anger is mounting in the country, women expressed their outrage on social media.
