In the latest warning to Iran, the US said on November 1 that it would deploy B-52 bombers, fighter jets, refuelling aircraft and Navy destroyers to West Asia, in a readjustment of military assets as the Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group prepared to leave the region.

US to deploy additional military assets to West Asia in warning to Iran

The United States (US) said on Friday (Nov 1) that it would deploy B-52 bombers, fighter jets, refuelling aircraft and Navy destroyers to West Asia, in a readjustment of military assets as the Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group prepared to leave the region.

In a statement, the Pentagon said that deployments would take place in the coming months and demonstrated the flexibility of the US military movements around the world.

The Israeli army released video on Friday (November 1) it says shows the airstrike that killed senior Hamas official Izz al-Din Kassab in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis. Reuters was not able to independently verify the location or the date of the video. Israel described Kassab as one of the last surviving high-ranking members of Hamas responsible for coordinating with other groups in Gaza.
