The 'food bandit'
The man identified as Mehul Prajapati made a video showing people the "hack" for getting free groceries, including fruits, bread, and even pastas from student food banks.
While he self-identifies as a student, a user on social media platform X posting the video alleged that Prajapati was a bank data scientist, earning around $98,000 per year, at TD Canada 'a top 10 North American bank'.
"This guy has a job as a bank data scientist for @TD_Canada, a position that averages $98,000 per year, and proudly uploaded this video showing how much 'free food' he gets from charity food banks," the user wrote adding, "you don't hate them enough."

Soon after the video was posted, quite predictably, a debate started in the comments section, with people expressing their surprise at the shameless behaviour.
One user revealed that the video was posted on Reddit, and the "coward had to delete his LinkedIn profile because many people were spamming him and contacting his employer."
The man was apparently fired from his high-paying job soon after the video was posted.
The author, in another post, claimed that Prajapati was fired from his job at TD Bank because of the video. He also shared a screenshot of an email from the bank which says, "Thank you for bringing the video to our attention. The alleged actions and messages captured in the video do not align with our TD values or culture of care. I can confirm that the individual named in the video no longerworksatTD."
