The month-long Ramzan ceasefire initiated by the government resulted in increased incidents of terrorist activities including the killing of senior journalist Shujaat Bukhari and the abduction and murder of rifleman Aurangzeb.
According to various reports, the number of ceasefire violations by Pakistan so far has increased by400% as compared to last year.
In 2017, Pakistan violated ceasefire slightly over 100 times, this year the Pakistani side has reportedly violated the ceasefire more than 400 times.
