'Veere Di Wedding' star Sumeet Vyas all set to tie the knot with Ekta Kaul

Sorry ladies, Sumeet Vyas is taken. For those who have nursed a crush on the actor since his 'Permanent Roommates' days, there is news. The actor is all set to tie the knot with his girlfriend, actress Ekta Kaul in September this year.

The actor's last release 'Veere Di Wedding' has just catapulted him to the big league and the actor has some very interesting projects- both on web and feature films- coming up. But first, the actor will be wrapping up his pending work and heading to Jammu in September to get married.

Earlier there were reports about their engagement but the couple had denied the reports by releasing a press statement.

Now, as per reports in a daily, Sumeet and Ekta are all set to get married. The couple's families met each other earlier and discussed the wedding. ×

A source close to the couple said, "Ekta’s family, many of whom are based in Jammu, are preparing for a traditional Kashmiri ceremony. The final details of the wedding are being currently locked. The bride-to-be has been calling friends from the industry asking them to lock their dates for the mid-September nuptials."

The couple has been in a relationship for the past one year although they have known each other for many years. "We first met years ago while shooting for a promo of a show which never took off. Then, both of us got busy with our respective lives. Last year, we bumped into each other at a friend’s party and then again when I was hosting a cricket-based reality show in which she was one of the players," Sumeet had said in an earlier interview to a magazine.

The actor was earlier married to actress Shivani Tanksale but they got divorced in 2017. Sumeet maintains that the two have remained friends and their separation was amicable.

There has been no official confirmation from the Sumeet or Ekta on their wedding yet.
