A complaint has been filed against the two actors for allegedly making derogatory remarks against sex workers in a scene in the film.
A few days away from release, makers of Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju facelegal trouble as a complaint has been filed against Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma for allegedly making derogatory remarks against sex workers in a scene in the film.
In a dialogue that featured in the trailer of the film, Ranbir Kapoor portraying the role of Sanjay Dutt discusses his sex life with Anushka Sharma’s character and says, “308 without counting the prostitutes”.
The dialogue didn’t seem to go too well with the sex workers’ community who have approached National Commision for Women and raised their objection against mentioning them in a disrespectful manner.
Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju is said to have booked the widest release possible with 4000 plus screens across India. The film is written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Dia Mirza amongst others.
It is produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios.
Sanju is all set to be released on 29th June 2018.
