Paint movie 2023 release date on OTT & theatres, plot, caste, critics rating and trailer; all you need to know

Paint movie 2023:American actor Owen Wilson’s character embodies a legendary TV paint artist in the upcoming Paint movie. The character is inspired by a fictional version of the Joy Of The Painting host Robert Ross. While he was at the height of his popularity in the 1980s and 1990s, his program, The Joy of Painting, earned a new audience when it aired nonstop for days on end during pandemic lockdowns. Even though the upcoming comedy Paint bears many of Bob Ross' stylistic characteristics, Brit McAdams simply used the "Happy Trees" painter as inspiration.

Paint movie release date: OTT and theatres

Paint Movie opens in the US on April 7. However, the movie will be released in the UK on April 28. The movie will also be released on the OTT platform AMC+ later this year on an unspecified date. As per Rotten Tomatoes, the movie would be available on the OTT app on May 23.

Paint movie critics' rating

As per a review by Rotten Tomatoes, many viewers found watching Paint movie a painfully dry experience. The movie scores a miserable 25 per cent on the Tomatometer reading. However, the movie got a 58 per cent score under the Audience Rating section.

Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids, ABC's The Goldbergs), Lusia Strus (Search Party, 50 First Dates), Stephen Root (HBO's Barry, Office Space), Lucy Freyer, and Owen Wilson (Marley & Me, Wedding Crashers, Loki) are among the actors who appear in Paint.
