Glen Powell had a sassy reply to a producer who called him better than Ryan Gosling. Not one to be pitted against peers, the Top Gun actor shrugged off the compliment while referencing to Ryan’s blockbuster film, Barbie in which he played Ken, Barbie’s lover.

It so happened that an unnamed Hollywood producer said that Glen Powell is better than Ryan Gosling as he boasts of a universal appeal. He said, “Unlike an actor like Ryan Gosling whose appeal is mostly limited to female audiences, Glen appeals to both females and males.”

As the comments picked up on social media, Glen reposted the quote and replied, “Gosling is a legend. I'm just Glen.” Glen has been earning a lot of praise for diffusing any negativity that could have picked up, had he foregone replying altogether.

Meanwhile, the producer didn't stop just there and added, “Glen Powell is most definitely an up-and-coming movie star in the sense that audiences now go to movies to see him.”

This comes after Glen Powell’s wild transformation for a new satire show. Glen has been working out and looks a lot different, with some even confusing him for a younger Tom Cruise.

Hulu released an official image of the actor, a day after BTS pictures of the star went viral. Along with starring, Glen Powell is co-creator of the upcoming half-hour comedy series, Chad Powers. It spurred from an ESPN+ sketch created by former football star Eli Manning, 43, and he will executive produce the show with Glen and Michael Waldron.

An official synopsis for the comedy reads: “When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday's college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.”

For the role, Glen Powell will be seen sporting a blonde wig with longer hair and a large prosthetic nose. In some pictures, he was also spotted sporting a moustache as filming kicked off in Atlanta, Georgia.

The show is directed by Tony Yacenda and also stars Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Perry Mattfeld, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Steve Zahn.
