Story highlights

Adnan Sami gave up his Pakistani citizen for Indian one a few years ago.

Singer and reality show judge Adnan Sami recently came under fire by trolls on social media as they made fun of him for not wishing on Pakistan’s Independence day. Sami was after all a Pakistani citizen who gave it up for Indian citizenship a few years ago.

As many Pakistani Twitter users asked him for the same, Sami gave a smart reply by writing, "I will... Tomorrow!". He was then subsequently questioned on his stance on Kashmir issue and many other things to which he responded with grace and a lot of patience.

When one user tweeted, "I'm seeing All the Indians saying "Proud of You" Can You imagine that up to what extent those people are sick, that they are honouring a man who didn't proved faith-full to his mother-land. How could he prove to be loyal to the country against which his father fought war”, Sami gave it back and said, "Really... Jinnah was not faithful to his motherland... What should we call him then?"

When someone asked him his view on Kashmir, he wrote, "Sure...Kashmir is an integral part of India. Don’t poke your nose in things that do NOT belong to you!"
