During the interview, which as per the media outlet has already been recorded, Trumpstressed that if he were president, the October 7 attack on Israel wouldn’t have happened.
“If I were president, that war would have never started. You wouldn’t have all those dead people… [and] demolished cities and areas. [We] wouldn’t have had October 7,” the former US presidentsaid according to Al Arabiya.
However, Trump has been cancelling some of his lined-up interviews and events recently, saying that there have been "scheduling conflicts", and adding that he is really exhausted according to Yahoo News.
Recently, he has withdrawn from his planned appearance on CBS'60 Minutes as his campaign had a disagreement over live fact-checking.
Trump's campaign spokesperson said that he has conducted nearly three times as many interviews as his Democratic rival candidate Kamala Harris, emphasising his high energy levels.
Moreover, Trump has several rallies planned across the US, while Harris will be campaigning alongside former US president Barack Obama and his wife Michele Obama.
