Four die as UK light aircraft and helicopter collide mid-air

The incident took place just after 1200 GMT at Upper Winchendon, near the village of Waddesdon, about 45 miles (72 km) to the northwest of London.
Four people have died after a helicopter and an aircraft collided near Aylesbury on Saturday, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said in a report by Independent UK.
The Cessna light aircraft crashed mid-air over Buckinghamshire, and disembarked on the land with a loud bang and heaps of smoke, the media report said.
The incident took place just after 1200 GMT at Upper Winchendon, near the village of Waddesdon, about 45 miles (72 km) to the northwest of London.
"Officers are in the process of working to locate and support their next of kin. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been informed and their staff has been on the scene," Superintendent Rebecca Mears, from Thames Valley Police, said in a statement.
More than seven fire brigades were rushed to the site as well a fire brigade drone was released over the damaged areas to locate any survivors.
According to media reports, the aircraft - Cessna 152 had suffered considerable destruction to its landing gear, propeller, and engine covering in a crash while taking off at Bodmin airfield, in Cornwall, in July 1993.
