Tejashwi Yadav will not leave responsibility of leading opposition midway: RJD

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Thursday said that party leader Tejashwi Yadav will continue as the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly.
RJD spokesperson Bhai Virendra said: "Tejashwi is not a leader who will leave the responsibility of leading the opposition midway."
"If Tejashwi resigns, all party legislators will resign along with him," he added.
The demands for Tejashwi Yadav's resignation have been growing after the party's debacle in the state Assembly and his absence from the state. Leaders of ally Congress and Opposition parties have been demanding his resignation on moral grounds taking responsibility for his party's defeat.
In a series of tweets on Saturday, Yadav assured the people of Bihar that "he was very much there" and was being treated for a ligament and ACL injury.
"We are accountable to people who look for a socialist-secular and social justice alternative in us and wish to assure that we are very much here and the fight is on...Recent developments helped me study, scrutinize, analyse and appraise the things in a different way, " he tweeted.

He further said that RJD will fight with a renewed commitment on everyday life issues of the poor.
"Since it's birth RJD has been at the centre of poor peoples’ struggle and that position is not lost only because of an electoral defeat. Wish to assure people of Bihar as well as our spirited cadre, we are going to fight with renewed commitment on everyday life issues of poor," he tweeted.
