Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chilies' entertainment has collaborated with streaming giant Netflix for an original Indian series.
The series will be a thriller based on a book "Bard of Blood"by Bilaal Siddiqui, and it will be a multilingual series in which characters will be interacting in Hindi, Urdu, English and other languages.
The Netflix original series will delve into the story of Kabir Anand, an expelled spy whose new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani is disrupted when he is recalled to save his country and a long-lost love. The protagonist will be forced to confront his deadliest foes in a race against time.
CEO and Netflix founder, Reed Hastings, founder of Red Chillies entertainment, Shah Rukh Khan together announced the series in a video tweeted by Netflix India.
In a chat with VJ Gaurav Kapoor, Reed Hastings said, "We believe in the global vision of Red Chillies to create groundbreaking content out of India. It’s exciting to deepen our relationship with Red Chillies and expand our slate of originals in India. We are thrilled to work with a brilliant, young writer like Bilal Siddiqi and take his gripping, inventive storytelling to Netflix members worldwide.”
