The ending of the latest season and a major plot change have left many fans with mixed views. Wading into the conversation, Macron said that Emily belonged to Paris, and he will look into this matter.

“We will ask them to remain in Paris, Emily in Paris in Rome doesn’t make sense,” he said in an interview with Variety.

In season 4 of the show, Macron's wife, Brigitte Macron, made a cameo as herself. When asked about the same, Macron said that he's “super proud” of his wife.

''I was super proud, and she was very happy to do it. It’s just a few minutes, but I think it was a very good moment for her. I think it’s good for the image of France,'' he said.

He said further, “Emily in Paris is super positive in terms of attractiveness for the country. For my own business, it’s a very good initiative.”

When asked about his cameo in the show, Emanuel said that he's ''less attractive'' than Brigitte.

The extravagant show revolves around Emily Cooper, an American Chicago marketing executive who moves to France to explore new opportunities in her career. However, this shift in her job changes her life forever, she not only builds a happy life but also finds love and best friends for life.

Initially, the show garnered backlash for not showing accurate French culture and diversity and stereotyping French people. However, the fact that can't be ignored is that the show has boosted tourism in Paris. Hence, why Emanuel can't let Emily go to Rome.
