MTV VMAs 2023: Taylor Swift wins big, full list of winners

The night belonged to Taylor Swift. From an MTV camera dedicated to her and her seatmates including Ice Spice and Sabrina Carpenter, to winning multiple awards, MTV VMA2023 was Taylor’s night. There were other memorable incidents on the stage too but Taylor takes the cake. Among other stuff that happened, Lil Wayne and Olivia Rodrigo opened the show with back-to-back performances and at one point, the stage almost collapsed but it was later revealed that it was all part of the act. Then there was Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion rocking their new single called “Bongos”.

Ice Spice won Best New Artist. Karol G delivered the evening’s most visually exciting performance as she was accompanied by a group of pink-clad male dancers. She and Shakira won best collaboration. Shakira wowed everyone as she gave a career-spanning performance celebrating her Video Vanguard award. Diddy followed suit for his Global Icon award.

The MTV VMAs2023 also had its fair share of controversies like every predecessor. The backstage cameras at the event caught what appeared to be an argument between Justin Timberlake and Megan Thee Stallion. The reports were later rubbished.
