The night belonged to Taylor Swift. From an MTV camera dedicated to her and her seatmates including Ice Spice and Sabrina Carpenter, to winning multiple awards, MTV VMA&nbsp;2023 was Taylor’s night. There were other memorable incidents on the stage too but Taylor takes the cake. Among other stuff that happened, Lil Wayne and Olivia Rodrigo opened the show with back-to-back performances and at one point, the stage almost collapsed but it was later revealed that it was all part of the act. Then there was Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion rocking their new single called “Bongos”.&nbsp;

Ice Spice won Best New Artist. Karol G delivered the evening’s most visually exciting performance as she was accompanied by a group of pink-clad male dancers. She and Shakira won best collaboration. Shakira wowed everyone as she gave a career-spanning performance celebrating her Video Vanguard award. Diddy followed suit for his Global Icon award.&nbsp;

The MTV VMAs&nbsp;2023 also had its fair share of controversies like every predecessor. The backstage cameras at the event caught what appeared to be an argument between Justin Timberlake and Megan Thee Stallion. The reports were later rubbished.&nbsp;

There were other memorable incidents on the stage too but Taylor takes the cake. Among other stuff that happened, Lil Wayne and Olivia Rodrigo opened the show with back-to-back performances and at one point, the stage almost collapsed but it was later revealed that it was all part of the act. Then there was Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion rocking their new single called “Bongos”. Ice Spice won Best New Artist. Karol G delivered the evening’s most visually exciting performance as she was accompanied by a group of pink-clad male dancers. She and Shakira won best collaboration. Shakira wowed everyone as she gave a career-spanning performance celebrating her Video Vanguard award. Diddy followed suit for his Global Icon award. The MTV VMAs 2023 also had its fair share of controversies like every predecessor. The backstage cameras at the event caught what appeared to be an argument between Justin Timberlake and Megan Thee Stallion. The reports were later rubbished. Confirming all rumours, Johnny Depp made&nbsp;his digital appearance at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night.&nbsp;&nbsp;Soon after the award night kicked off with performances from Jack Harlow, Lizzo, Depp's brief stint&nbsp;was played. The 59-year-old actor did&nbsp;not attend the event in person.&nbsp;

After the energetic start at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, the audience saw a Moon Man hanging on the stage and in no time, Johnny's&nbsp;face appeared on the floating Moon Person's&nbsp;helmet&nbsp;and the pre-recorded message was played.

"WandaVision," which takes characters from Marvel's record-breaking superhero blockbuster films and shifts the action to the Disney+ streaming platform, won four awards at the Los Angeles ceremony, including best show.

The oddball but acclaimed series set in a bizarre, sitcom-inspired world also bagged best performance in a series for its star Elizabeth Olsen, best villain for Kathryn Hahn, and "best fight."

"This is bananas, this whole thing -- this whole year has been so trippy," said Hahn, one of several stars to refer to the pandemic's impact, with the live in-person award show taking place in Hollywood a year after the previous edition was canceled.

The late Chadwick Boseman -- who surprisingly failed to posthumously win best actor for "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom" at last month's Oscars -- was honored for best performance in a movie.

The awards do not differentiate between male and female actors, and have been honoring Hollywood since 1992 with "golden popcorn" statuettes for unconventional categories including "best kiss."

Sony is doing due diligence and considering several potential deal options, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

A Reliance Industries spokesman declined to comment, saying that the company "evaluates various opportunities on an ongoing basis." Sony did not immediately respond to Reuters request for comment.

A potential stake deal with Sony would come at a time when India's lucrative but crowded TV market is expected to grow more than 50 per cent in the next three years, according to Statista.

Facebook said Wednesday it was reviving the pioneering MTV reality show "The Real World" as its secret weapon to lure viewers away from YouTube.

The social media giant said it was also trying to harness the formidable online power of the "cute kitten" factor with a new show called "World's Most Amazing Dog" on its new Facebook Watch platform.

Users who think their pooch is cute enough to be a contender can enter audition videos from their phones, it told TV executives at MIPCOM in Cannes, the world's top entertainment showcase.

The company's head of video Paresh Rajwat said Facebook Watch -- which began to be rolled out in the US last year -- was now available across the world, with "the time people spend on it increasing by 14 times since".

"The Real World" was one of the first "social experiment" TV reality shows when it aired in 1992, spawning others like "Big Brother".

It turns on the moment when "seven strangers put together stop being polite and start being real," said Facebook's content and strategy chief Matthew Henick.

Three versions of the new Facebook variant of the show will be launched simultaneously in the US, Mexico and Thailand.&nbsp;

Users will be able to "co-watch with their friends and interact with the contestants", stealing a march on its internet rivals, Henick told the gathering in the French Riviera resort.

Rajwat said Facebook Watch was "completely open" and was already being used by broadcasters, with new contestants on Germany's "X Factor" recently being introduced to fans on the platform before they made their TV debuts.

He said its interactivity means "watching videos doesn't have to be a passive experience... with friends able to co-watch together in real time".

A new service called "Watch Party" allowing "people to watch and comment all at the same time" has already been used on celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's "Veggie Challenge", he added.

A Facebook Watch show called "Sorry For Your Loss" about a "young widow struggling to put her life back together has led to long meaningful conversations about dealing with grief", Rajwat said, with many users "offering help to people who lost their beloveds. This is where Facebook is different," he said.

MTV boss Chris McCarthy predicted that Facebook Watch was going to "create a whole a new genre of shared reality TV", and help shows lift off when it was "harder and harder to break through with more and more content" out there.

American singer Pink will be the recipient of 2017 Vanguard Award, MTV&#39;s equivalent of a lifetime achievement honour for video music, the U.S. cable and satellite television channel said on Tuesday.
