Washington DC
Donald Trump Jr, the son of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, is facing outrage on social media for calling his 17-year-old daughter 'sexy' on camera. The ex-president's first son made the comment as they were getting ready for the Republican National Convention.
The video, first posted on TikTok, shows Donald Jr and Kai Trump getting their make-up and hair done ahead of the RNC. Then, Jr. asks, "Kai what do you think?”
“Getting makeup make me look sexy like you?”
Then, Kai responds, "I think you look very beautiful.”
To which Donald Junior replies, "Thank you Kai, I'm glad you think I look very beautiful,” while flashing a wide smile.
“I don't do this very often, but in HD you better do it,” he adds.
He further says that he was excited for his daughter's first speech. “She's going to crush it - I love you Kai.”
The clip, first posted Thursday (Jul 18) soon went viral on social media, garnering views in millions. The video received massive backlash, with one user saying, "why would you say that?”, referring to his 'sexy' comment.
“So actually we don't wanna be calling our daughter sexy hope this helps,” another user said.

“I’m a trump supporter, but dang I had to replay this several times to convince myself this doesn’t sound wrong, and I’m still not convinced,” a third wrote.
Some users also drew parallels between comments made by Donald Junior and his father Donald Trump.
During a 2006 interview, Trump said that he would have dated his "beautiful daughter if they weren't related." He also used the word “voluptuous” while describing her figure.
“IT’S GENERATIONAL,” one user said.
