'Crooked Joe Biden wasn't...': Trump reacts after Biden drops out of the presidential race

Former US president Donald Trump.

Former US President Donald Trump said Joe Biden was never 'fit to run' after the Democrat leader pulled out of the 2024elections. Trump took to his handle on Truth Social and posted a lengthy message taking potshotsat the US president.

"Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was!" wrote Trump, who will now be going against Vice President Kamala Harris in all likelihood.

"All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t."

"And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists."

Trump said he will remedy the damage done by Biden during his four-year presidency.

"We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Trump to face Kamala Harris?

In all likelihood, Trump is expected to square up against Vice President Kamala Harris after Biden endorsed her as the presidential nominee.

The Democratic Convention takes place next month where the Blue side would approve a presidential nominee - most likely Harris.

Prior to Biden stepping down, Trump had already launched attacks on Harris by calling her 'crazy' at his first public rally after the assassination attempt on July 13.

"I call her laughing Kamala," he said. "Have you watched her laugh? She is crazy. You know, you can tell a lot by a laugh. No, she's crazy. She's nuts. She's not as crazy as Nancy Pelosi."

Trump had the upper hand at this stage but with Harris coming in the fray, he may have to elevate his campaign as well.
