A single ticket purchased at a ShopRite liquor store in Neptune Township, New Jersey, contained every winning combination, for the Mega Millions $1.13 billion jackpot on announced on Tuesday night (March 26).

The winning numbers were 7, 11, 22, 29, 38 and gold Mega Ball 4. The winner has yet to come forward, according to the lottery.

Thirteen tickets from across nine of the Mega millions-eligible states matched five numbers to each win $1 million. One of those tickets was a multiplier, bumping the prize up to $2 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot award has topped $1 billion for the sixth time this year. The jackpot that was won on Tuesday ranks as the fifth-largest payout in the game's history.

Before Tuesday, there had been no jackpot winner in 30 straight drawings. On December 8, the last jackpot was won.

With a cash value of $537.5 million, the jackpot prize can be awarded as an immediate lump sum or as an immediate payment followed by 29 yearly installments.

According to Mega Millions, there is a 1 in 302,575,350 chance of winning the jackpot.

In addition to Washington, DC., and the USVirgin Islands, forty-five states play Mega Millions. One show costs two tickets.

The $1.6 billion jackpot that was won on August 8, 2023, was the biggest Mega Millions win ever.
