England's skipper Eoin Morgan smashed his career-best knock as England defeated Afghanistan by 150 runs in the match 24 of Cricket World Cup 2019.

Here's a list of records made during the England and Afghanistan World Cup match at Old Trafford, Manchester.

-After winning the toss, England elected to bat first and posted 397/6 in 50 overs. It is England's highest World Cup score. Otherwise, a record of the highest total in World Cup is held by Australia's 417-6, also against Afghanistan, in 2015.

-England captain Eoin Morgan smashed 17 sixes in his 148-run knock to break the record of most sixes in an One-Day International innings.

-Morgan's century was fourth fastest in World Cup history. His hundred came off just 57 balls. The fasted is Ireland's Kevin O'Brien, who smashed a century in 50 balls against England in 2011.

-Morgan also hit his 200th ODI six as he lifted his overall tally to 211

-England also created a record of hitting maximum sixes, 25, in one innings. They broke their own record of 24 sixes against West Indies in February this year.

-Afghanistan's all-rounder Rashid Khan, who is known for his spin talent, also created a record, which he certainly he did not want. He became the most expensive bowler in a World Cup match. He gave 110 runs.

-Rashid created another record of giving most maximum sixes in a ODI match.

-397 is the maximum score created at Manchester's Old Trafford.
