'Our darkest hour... response of govt inadequate,' 49 ex-bureaucrats write to PM Modi after Kathua, Unnao
Forty-nine former bureaucrats have written a scathing open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Kathua and Unnao gang rapes. "In post-independence India, this is our darkest hour and we find the response of our government, the leaders of our political parties inadequate and feeble," the bureaucrats write in their letter.
Andhra special status: Call for statewide bandh today

To improve gender imbalance, IITs to add 779 more seats exclusively for women
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) will add 779 more seats exclusively for women applicants in the new academic session this year. Sayantani Saha, a student from IIT Kharagpur told ANI that the decision by the institutes will help in improving the problem of gender imbalance in the IITs.
