Speaking on the rising tensions on the India-Pakistan border, Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured that amidst all the tensions- present and future, India's head will always be high.

He said " Currently there is tension at India-Pakistan border. Whatever is happening now and whatever will happen in future, I would like to assure you that India's head will always be held and always."

Reacting to the three days of consecutive ceasefire fire violations by Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti expressed her grief saying that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are the worst victims of the animosity between the two countries.

She said "Distraught to hear of three more civilians caught in the crossfire on the border. The people of J&K are the worst victims of the acrimony between the two neighbouring countries. I pray that the hostility on the borders end s soon. "

Former chief minister Farooq Abdullah who has previously been in controversy for his statements on Jammu and Kashmir, PoK and Pakistan also raised his concern over the number of deaths resulting from ceasefire violations.

He said "It's not only BSF jawans but civilians also is tremendous tragedy that it is taking place on our border. I hope our neighbour realises it is not going to take us anywhere other than destruction."
