Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister-elect Jairam Thakur Sunday thanked the Central leadership and other senior BJP leaders for proposing his name as the Legislature party leader.
The legislators' decision came a day after Prem Kumar Dhumal- who was named BJP's prospective Chief Minister before the elections - pulled out of the race.
The swearing-in ceremony for the BJP leader will take place on December 27. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend the ceremony.
