It was raining heavily and the dog wouldn’t stop barking. I instantly realised something was about to happen and started screaming and waking up the villagers,” said Dholu Ram, a resident.&nbsp;“I ran to each house to wake them up, and the dog accompanied me all along,” said Dholu.&nbsp;Narendra, a villager, said the dog sleeping on the second floor of his house suddenly started barking loudly and then howling around midnight, as the rain kept pouring.&nbsp;“I woke up from the barking. As I went to him, I saw a big crack in the wall of the house and water had started to enter. Narendra, a villager, said the dog sleeping on the second floor of his house suddenly started barking loudly and then howling around midnight, as the rain kept pouring. “I woke up from the barking. As I went to him, I saw a big crack in the wall of the house and water had started to enter. I ran downstairs with the dog and woke everyone up,” he added. These APK wires contain malware that if once downloaded, can grant access to the recipient's phone and personal data.&nbsp;

“If you receive an unsolicited wedding invitation or any file from an unknown number, do not click on it. Verify the sender and the file before downloading anything onto your phone,” News18 quoted DIG Mohit Chawla of Himachal Pradesh State CID and Cyber Crime Department as saying.

A political row over samosas! India’s investigation agency CID landed itself into a rather unusual probe when the samosas and cakes meant for Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were served to his security staff instead.

The incident took place on October 21, when Sukhu visited the CID headquarters and the snacks meant for him were served to the staff, which the CM termed as an “anti-government” act.

According to reports, at least three boxes of samosas were brought from Hotel Radisson Blue as refreshments that were planned to serve to CM Sukhu, who visited the investigation agency’s headquarters to attend an event.

Soon an investigation was launched. As per the agency, the CID officials asked the tourism department employees on duty whether the food items kept in these boxes were to be served to the Chief Minister; they got the answer that they were not on his menu.

It was revealed in the investigation report that some officials were made in charge of the arrangements for refreshments meant for the staff accompanying the Chief Minister.&nbsp;

A woman official said that she was unaware that the items inside these three boxes were meant for the CM Sukhu and those three boxes were handed over to the MT section without opening.

The food items kept in the boxes were served with tea to some 10-12 people sitting in the IG's room on his orders, according to the statement of the officer in charge.

Later, as the probe went on, it was realised that only an SI rank officer knew that those snacks were meant for the Chief Minister.

However, the Congress party has denied claims of a CID probe being ordered into the incident, saying that the investigation agency is pursuing the matter as per its own accord.

"The government did not order any such investigation, and it has nothing to do with this matter. The CID is investigating the matter at its own level. After all, who was given the refreshments served to the Chief Minister?," Naresh Chauhan, the chief media advisor to Sukhu said.

Chauhan also hit back at the BJP and said that they are unnecessarily blowing up the issue. "Because the BJP does not have any issues, hence false propaganda is being done against the Congress government through this issue," he added.

The food items kept in the boxes were served with tea to some 10-12 people sitting in the IG's room on his orders, according to the statement of the officer in charge. However, the Congress party has denied claims of a CID probe being ordered into the incident, saying that the investigation agency is pursuing the matter as per its own accord. Congress leadership has reportedly advised Vikramaditya not to issue any further statement over the contentious issue. According to reports, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge was not at all impressed with Vikramaditya’s diktat.

The Congress minister had earlier posted on Facebook that the direction to the eateries was issued so that “people do not have any problem”.

India: Congress leadership raps Himachal minister over issuing ‘BJP-like’ diktat for eateries

Following Uttar Pradesh's lead, the Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday (Sep 25) issued an order that requires shopkeepers and street vendors to display the owner's name for clear identification.&nbsp;

State public works minister and Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh, the son of six-time HP chief minister Virbhadra Singh, said the order was issued during a joint meeting with the&nbsp;Public Works, Urban Development, and Municipal Corporation.

“We met with the UD (Urban Development) and the Municipal Corporation. To make sure that hygienic food is sold, a decision has been taken for all the street vendors...especially those selling edible items,” Singh was quoted as saying by news wire agency ANI.

Singh said the decision was taken after taking into consideration the apprehensions of the locals regarding the increase in a number of migrants in the state.&nbsp;

“People expressed their concerns and doubts, and considering this, we have decided to implement a similar policy to that in UP, in which it has been made mandatory that vendors have to display their names and IDs... Every shopkeeper and street vendor has to display their identification."

In recent weeks, there have been multiple incidents where locals have protested against the illegal migrants with the videos going viral on social media.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The UP government defended its order stating that the&nbsp;directive to name owners during the Kanwar Yatra was issued to ensure that the religious sentiments of pilgrims were not inadvertently hurt.&nbsp;

On Tuesday (Sep 24), two months after the court decision, CM Adityanath ordered the restaurants and eateries to&nbsp;prominently display the names and addresses of operators, proprietors, managers and staff.

“It is essential to thoroughly investigate food establishments such as dhabas and restaurants. A state-wide intensive campaign should be conducted to verify all employees, including the operators of these establishments. This verification process must be completed swiftly by a joint team comprising the Food Safety and Drug Administration, police, and local administration,” the statement added.

The administration&nbsp;has also directed the installation of CCTVs in hotels and restaurants and to ensure that the chefs and waiters wear masks and gloves.
