Three air-conditioned coaches of the Korba-Visakhapatnam Express caught fire on Sunday (Aug4) morning, soon after the train reached Visakhapatnam railway station in India's southern state of Andhra Pradesh.

The fire started near the A1 coach, causing passengers to alert authorities. Railway officials quickly helped everyone evacuate the train as the fire spread to three coaches. The fire is said to have originated due to an electrical short circuit in one of the coaches.

All passengers were safely evacuated, and the fire has been controlled. After arriving from Korba, the train was supposed to continue to Tirupati. An official mentioned that alternate arrangements are being made forthepassengers.
