South Korean actress Song Da Eun and BTS’ Jimin have become a thing and not everyone is happy about it. Over the past two years, rumours of the two dating each other secretly have been doing the rounds and now it looks like there was indeed some truth in those link-up news pieces.
The alleged secret romance got an official status after Song Da Eun, actress of The Handmaiden, dropped a major social media update. It sparked divided reactions on the internet and led tothose in favour and those against locking horns.
She posted a photo of two cases, likely for earbuds – with one flaunting the name “Jimin” and the other with "Da Eun". The post left many confused, and some accused the actress of seeking attention by trying to cash in on the name of the K pop star.
In one video, she shared a person walking by the Brooklyn Park Pier, covering the face with a flower emoji, but fans quickly noticed the similarity to a video posted by V last year featuring Jimin.
Song Da Eun and BTS Jimin dating rumours
It all began when actress Song Da Eun and BTS pop star Jimin were first linked in the summer of 2022. At that time, a now-deleted Pann Nate post shared a 12-piece collection of evidence suggesting they were dating. These photos showed both Jimin and Song Da Eun at the same locations, wearing the same accessories, and recommending the same movies.

One picture revealed that both Jimin and Song Da Eun attended a soccer game on her birthday.
Another highlighted their shared love for peonies and rubber trees among other things.
Even though rumours of their affair picked up momentum on the internet, Song Da Eun always denied those. She went on to say that there is no truth in these since she doesn’t know Jimin personally. She assured BTS fans that she wasn’t romantically involved with him.
Why are fans upset with link-up rumours?
Hence, the recent post has upset BTS fans who were heartbroken with Jimin’s link-up. Most were upset that Da Eun wasn’t serious about the whole thing and was doing this to “seek attention” while others questioned why she doesn’t want to come clean with it if “she truly loves him”.
