Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey has found some support in his colleagues from the industry as stars like Sharon Stone, Liam Neeson and Stephen Fry contended that the actor was a “good man” and that “industry needs him”.
Another sexual misconduct allegation trial is going on against Spacey after the earlier ones got quashed. Kevin came back in the spotlight after a new Channel 4 docuseries came up with more allegations of severe misconduct.
On more accusations levelled against him, Taken franchise star Liam Neeson told Telegraph, “I was deeply saddened to learn of these accusations against him. Kevin is a good man and a man of character. He’s sensitive, articulate and non-judgmental, with a terrific sense of humour. He is also one of our finest artists in the theatre and on camera.
He added, “Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly.”
Sharon Stone chimed in and added, “I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work. He is a genius. He is so elegant and fun, generous to a fault and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will.”
The Basic Instinct actress added that all these allegations against him that he been dealing with since 2017 is “terrible”. She added, “It’s terrible that they are blaming him for not being able to come to terms with themselves for using him and negotiating with themselves because they didn’t get their secret agendas.”
Kevin Spacey has won on most counts – all sexual misconduct suits against him over the past few years have been shuttered. All these sexual misconduct allegations were unveiled in Channel 4’s docuseries Spacey Unmasked. Directed by Katherine Haywood, the show was launched on Max in the US earlier this week. It tracks claims from several men who claimed the actor sexually abused them.
After the allegations emerged, Kevin in an earlier interview had said, “I take full responsibility for my past behaviour and my actions. But I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologise to anyone who’s made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me.”
