News: Urmila Matondkar files for divorce from businessman husband Mohsin

The couple was together for 8 years and were always supportive of each other on social media, sharing exclusive insights of their life on social media.

While the reason is unclear, sources suggest that the divorce is not on “mutual terms” but that Urmila filed for divorce after “careful consideration”. She has already filed for divorce in court.

Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin are divorcing?

Urmila and Mohsin tied the knot on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony. At the time, the wedding made news for a couple of controversial reasons – firstly it was an inter-faith marriage and secondly, there was a 10-year age gap between Urmila and Mohsin. Urmila is older than Mohsin.

The couple stayed together for almost a decade beforedecidingto part ways.

Mohsin Akhtar Mir is a successful businessman and model from Kashmir. Mohsin and Urmila first met at designer Manish Malhotra's niece's wedding in 2014. Notably, Manish Malhotra was one of the few people from the entertainment industry who was invited to the wedding in 2016. Urmila and Mohsin had paid a visit to Amritsar's Golden Temple, followed by a Nikah.

Mohsin Akhtar Mir was a model before he tried his hands at business. He wanted to star in Bollywood films and moved to Mumbai from Kashmir when he was just 21. He made his debut in It's A Man's World (2009), and then worked in films like Luck By Chance (2009), Mumbai Mast Kallander (2011) and B.A. Pass (2012).

Mohsin is now reportedly associated with Manish Malhotra's label.
