Actor Sanchita Ugale, known for Chhaava and Kumkum Bhagya, dies by suicide; no suicide note recovered

In a shocking turn of event, Television actor Sanchita Ugale reportedly died by suicide in Mumbai on June 14. She was 22. Known for her work on television and in films, she has worked in shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Sajan Ghar, Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and Chhavva.

The actress was found death at her residence in Nalasopara, Mumbai. It appears to be suicide, though the investigation is underway and the exact reason for the death will be detemined in the investigation.

Sanchita has allegedly hanged herself with her own saree. A police team reached the incident point soon after they were alerted about the incident. In a statement to PTI, police shared that they did not find anything suspicious at the spot, and no suicide note was recovered.

"A police team inspected the scene immediately after being alerted about the incident. We did not find anything suspicious at the spot, and no suicide note was recovered," a police official told PTI. The body has been sent for a postmortem examination.

In a video shared by ANI, API Vinod Bagh of Achole Police Station says, "A case has been reported in the jurisdiction of Acholi Police Station. Miss Sanchita Ugale, 22, died by suicide by hanging herself in her own home... The reason for the death will be determined in the investigation.''

Acting will be taken accordingly, and nothing has been found so far. However, her father have said that they have no complaints against anyone.

News of Ugale's death came just 22 hours after she posted a reel of herself performing to the Radha song from Student of the Year. Dressed in pink, she appeared happy and was seen enjoying herself.Ugale had been working in the TV industry and building a name for herself in entertainment with roles across both TV and film. She was also active on Instagram, with 140k followers.

Ugale rose to prominence for her portrayal of Diya Tandon in the popular Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya. She also played Ruchita Jaitley in Wagle Ki Duniya and starred opposite Sorab Bedi in Dangal TV's Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi.
