Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi will lead the ICC World XI side against Windies at Lord's as Eoin Morgan has been forced to pull out due to a fractured finger.
Morgan injured his right ring finger during a Royal London One-Day cup encounter against Somerset on Sunday, May 27. He was sent for a precautionary x-ray, which revealed a crack.
Eoin Morgan was set to captain the side but due to the injury, former Pakistan's skipper Shahid Afridi will lead the squad.
Sam Billings has been added to the squad at the place of Eoin Morgan. Also, Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran and England fast bowler Tymal Mills have been added to the World XI squad.
The match is being held to raise funds for the reconstruction of Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua, the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica, the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground in the British Virgin Islands and the Carib Lumber Ball Park in St. Maarten, that were damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria last year.
