Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel eyes Premier League return despite Barcelona links - Report
Bayern Munich’s outgoing managerThomasTuchelhasset his sights on a return to the Premier League (PL) as he prepares for his next move. Tuchel, who previously managed Premier League giants Chelsea, willbe a free agent in the summerwithBayern announcing his departurebackin February for a poor set of results. PL clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham are keeping close eyes on him despite strong interest from Barcelona for the German gaffer.
Tuchel back to Premier League?
According to ESPN, Tuchel already has several offers on his tableincludingstronglinks to Barcelona, who also have vacancy at their helm. However, the 50-year-old is holding for a move to England as there could be somebigand shocking vacancies at Premier League clubs. Manchester United and Chelsea are exploring options to get a new managerwhileWest Ham United gaffer David Moyes is yet to sign a new deal, leavinganother proposed option.
However, it is unlikely that Tuchel will move to West Ham with Barcelona as a big-club option. The Catalonians are already preparing for life without Xavi Hernandezwhowill leave the club in summer. Rafael Marquez and Hansi Flick remain options to replace Xavi, but Tuchel remains the favourite.
The German manager has already wona host oftitles in his career andcomes witha proven track record.He won the Champions League with Chelsea while winning league titles in France and Germany. Last seasonhewon the Bundesliga while leading Chelsea to FA Cup and League Cup finals during his time at the club.
