Personalised search results show information like recent purchases and flight details

Aiming to make search more personalised, Google has added a “Personal” tab to its search results page. Clicking on this tab allows users to search through their Google account, which includes data from Gmail as well as Google Photos.

The personalised search results also show information like recent purchases and flight details.

Twitter user Jessica Grammer was the first one to spot this tab. She also tweeted a screenshot of the new feature embedded in the search results page.

The “Personal” tab is visible to users only if they are signed into their Google accounts. The new filter can be accessed by clicking the “More” tab.

The feature is not currently rolled out for everyone. It appears that Google plans to make it available to users in a phased-manner.

We, however, are yet to hear from Google on the same.
