'Nation needs more serious politicians than the fly-by-night ones,' he said.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party's performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, stating that the Congress "will not get more than 60 seats" in the general elections.
Goyal said that he is confident of the BJP making a clean sweep, bagging more than 300 Lok Sabha seats. He targetted Congress' Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticising her political debut that happened just 60 days ahead of the general polls.
Goyal said Priyanka induction into politics at this juncture is just to "bail out her failed elder brother", news agency ANI reported.
"Nation needs more serious politicians than the fly-by-night ones," he said.
Slamming Congress leader Sam Pitroda over his remarks on aggressive action against Pakistan, Goyal said the BJP would give a befitting reply to terror attacks and not be 'apologetic' as the opposition party leaders, news agency PTI reported.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter on Friday, and in a series of tweets, lashed out at Pitroda.
"The most trusted advisor and guide of the Congress President has kick-started the Pakistan National Day celebrations on behalf of the Congress, ironically by demeaning India’s armed forces," PM Modi tweeted out.
