Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju does not know how to stop with the film reigning on all days since its release on June 29. In 7 days since its release, the film has now entered the Rs 200 crore club with an easy sweep as it earned Rs 16.10 crore on Thursday.

With this film, Ranbir Kapoor enters the Rs 200 crore club for the first time among the likes of Khans, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and other superstars. Before this, Ranbir’s films have hit Rs 100 crore and plus including Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Barfi and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Rajkumar Hirani’s directorial opened to a massive number at the box office as it wowed the audience with its story and impeccable performances by the actors, especially Ranbir Kapoor who plays the titular role of Sanjay Dutt in his biopic. Also, Vicky Kaushal’s acting deserves a special mention as the actor gave an uninhibited performance in the film. Vicky played the role of Sanjay’s friend. The film earned Rs 120.06 crore in its opening weekend collection, highest one this year. The film collected  Rs 34.75 crore on Friday, Rs 38.60 crore on Saturday, Rs 46.71 crore on Sunday, Rs 25.35 crore on Monday, Rs 22.10 crore on Tuesday, Rs 18.90 crore on Wednesday, Rs 16.10 crore on Thursday bringing the total to Rs 202.51 crore. Sanju even beat Salman Khan’s Race 3’s entire domestic collection till date in just 6 days of its running. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted: “In 6 days, #Sanju has surpassed #Race3 collections in #India. Now, #Sanju is the 2nd highest grossing Hindi movie for 2018, next to #Padmaavat #RanbirKapoor @RajkumarHirani.”

The film apart from Ranbir Kapoor also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal and Manisha Koirala. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
