Kareena Kapoor's wedding dress in 'Veere Di Wedding' is actually 25-years old

The designers Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla revealed that the lehenga that Kareena Kapoor wore was more than two decades old.
If you have watched 'Veere Di Wedding', you must have gushed over Kareena Kapoor's bridal attire. The actress looked breathtaking in a ivory and yellow lehenga in the final scene, in which her character Kalindi gets married to beau Rishabh (Sumeet Vyas).
Interestingly, much like in the film, the lehenga is 25 years old. In the film, Kalindi wears her mother's wedding lehenga. In reality, the outfit is from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's vintage collection.
In an Instagram story shared on social media, Sandeep explained, ''Veere's wedding garment is actually a vintage garment of Abu Sandeep. It's something that we made 25 years ago. It was lying in our coffers...Rhea came to the factory and we started digging out a whole trunk and and taking out old pieces. So then, we just reinvented it. The skirt remains the same. The blouse remains pretty much the same. Of course, it was altered to Kareena's size.Then we created a dupatta and just modernised it slightly. At the wedding time (in the movie), everybody is in AJSK vintage, which is great fun.''
