Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda wants to 'kill gossip websites'. The actor is mighty miffed with certain websites who have allegedly published fake news about his donation for COVID-19 relief work. The actor, in a video shared on social media, has claimed that these websites intend to "destroy his career and image"
Sharing a post along with the video on Twitter, the actor wrote, " When someone who is supposed to be the guardian of truth lies to you or betrays your trust, intentionally - the society is in danger. This video is my responsibility to my people. Meanwhile, you are welcome to continue trying to end my career, destroy my image, write nonsense about me." The hashtags #KillGossipWebsites, #SpreadPositivity and #KillFakeNews were added to his post.
In the video, Deverakonda called out websites that alleged that his NGO, The Deverakonda Foundation's fund were not being directed for the relief of poor families. The actor shared multiple screenshots of articles that seem to indicate the misuse of the funds. The actor shared screenshots of spreadsheets of his contributions to the COVID-19 fund on Twitter and got support from members of the southern film fraternity.
Vijay Deveraknonda made his debut in 2011 in 'Nuvvila' and his breakout performance was in the 2016 film 'Pelli Choopulu'. The actor is best known for his performances in films like Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Arjun Reddy', 'Ye Mantram Vesave', 'Mahanati' and 'Geetha Govindam'. He was last seen in 'Dear Comrade'.
