Amazon Prime Video has finally announced the premiere date of riches to rags and self-discovery drama series titled Call Me Bae, starring Ananya Panday in the lead role. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra are executive producers of the series, which is being produced under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment.

Penned by a talented trio of writers — Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar, and Rohit Nair, Call Me Bae weaves a compelling narrative around the life of Bella 'Bae' Chowdhary, portrayed by Ananya Panday. Once an heiress, Bae finds herself navigating the gritty streets of Mumbai after a scandal strips her of her wealth. The series explores her journey from riches to rags, highlighting her transformation as she relies on her wits and style to survive and thrive in the bustling city.

The eight-part series promises to be a riveting watch, showcasing Bae's resilience as she manoeuvres through the complexities of Mumbai's newsrooms, forging bonds, finding romance, and ultimately discovering her true self.

Ananya Panday, known for her roles in Student of the Year 2, Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani,and Gehraiyaan, leads an impressive ensemble cast. The supporting lineup includes Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.

Call Me Baeis directed by Collin D’Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra. The series is part of Prime Video's ambitious slate of 69 new and returning series and films announced in March, reflecting the platform’s commitment to delivering diverse and high-quality content to its Indian audience.
