
The bloodbath on Wall Street continued on Thursday as the Dow nosedived again going down over 1,000 points as it repeated the feat when it plunged insimilar manner on Monday.
Dow Jones Industrial Average dived 4.2 per cent to 23,860.46.
S&P 500 also took a hit sinking 3.8 per cent to 2,581.00, while the Nasdaq Composite Index plunged 3.9 per cent to 6,777.16.
Boeing and Caterpillar lost around five per cent, with Amazon and Facebook losing ground. Several companies listed on the Dow took a similar hit.
Just like Monday's fall, markets on Thursday fell due to treasury bond with investors concerned that the US Federal Reserve may accelerate rate hikes if inflation rises suddenly.
On Monday, both the Dow and S&P went down in a similar fashion as the Dow fell 4.6 per cent in a matter of hours.
The Dow had closed 24,345.75 ending down 1,175.21 points with the S&P 500 index losing 113.19 points, or 4.10 per cent, to end at 2,648.94.
