With Artificial intelligence (AI)becoming increasingly central to our daily lives, it has become important to understand its impact on our daily lives.
In collaboration with Symmetry, a UK-based global AI advisory, solutions, and research firm, Samsung explores the intersections of artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and socioeconomic impact.
The South Korean tech giant surveyed 5,000 people aged 18+ across France, Germany, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States, to understand possible connections between quality of life and willingness to use mobile AI in various activities related to creativity, productivity, social relationships, and physical health.
The research offers a deep dive into different kinds of AI users and top mobile AI use cases. Interestingly, the global study reveals that those who frequently use mobile AI report a higher quality of life than those who rarely use mobile AI.
The study’s findings also reveal considerable excitement about mobile AI’s potential, with more than 50 per cent of respondents planning to adopt it even more in the future.
“Our users are now experiencing the tangible benefits of Galaxy AI, innovated to provide an entirely human-centricmobile AI experience —and that is just the beginning. Within months, we have democratised Galaxy AI, extending access to more models and form factors. It’s a feat only possible through close collaboration with our industry partners and our distinct approach to hybrid AI to bring our users the most practical, reliable, and versatile mobile AI experience possible. An experience that has the potential to change lives," says Won-Joon Choi, executive vice president and head of the mobile R&D office, mobile experience business, Samsung Electronics.

Amid the enthusiasm, there is also a concern. The study’s findings indicate early signs of a growing divide in the quality of life between people who use mobile AI and those who are unwilling to embrace the technology.
If this gap continues to grow as technology advances, there’s a risk that those in society who choose not to engage with it may be left behind.
