A police complaint has been filed against a doctor fromSir Sunderlal Hospital in Varanasi for allegedly leaving syringes inside a woman's body after conducting a surgery.

The womanstarted experiencing severe pain in her stomach after the operation, following which the doctors operated again and found two syringes inside her stomach.

After removing two syringes, anX-Ray revealed the presence of three more syringes in her stomach.

The woman had undergone a surgical sterilisation in 2017. However, she started experiencingpain of late and approached the hospital when the syringes inside her stomach were found.

In 2013, the doctors from the same hospital had leftpieces of cotton and flesh inside her stomach when she went there for her child's delivery.

The husband of the victim has filed a complaint against the lady doctor who operated her.

Investigation in the matter is underway.
