PM Narendra Modi mentioned the strides in space technology and said that India successfully landed Chandrayaan near the Moon’s South Pole and is now preparing for the Gaganyaan mission, while also moving forward towards building its own space station in orbit.
Addressing the Indian diaspora in Paris on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is now not just preparing for the future, but it is actively shaping it, and added that trust has become the most vital component of relations between nations. He further said that this is a new age of Indian aspirations.
Stressing the emergence of India as the fastest-growing economy globally, PM Narendra Modi said, “Today, the world is witnessing that India is not merely preparing for the future, it is actively shaping the future.”
“There was a time when relationships between nations were defined primarily by trade. Today, along with trade, trust has become equally important. Every country wants reliable supply chains. Every country seeks stable partnerships. Every country is looking for partners it can depend on with confidence,” he added.
Mentioning the strides in space technology and innovations, PM Modi said, “Let me give you the example of India’s space programme. India successfully landed Chandrayaan near the Moon’s South Pole. The world viewed it as a remarkable achievement, but India did not stop there. For us, it was not the destination but the beginning of a new journey.”
He added that the country is now preparing for the Gaganyaan mission and is also moving forward towards building its own space station in orbit.

‘What was once a dream is now a reality,’ says Modi
“What was once a dream is now a reality. What once seemed impossible has now become possible,” Modi said while crediting Indians for this transformation. “And what is the greatest force behind this transformation? Who has made all this possible? It is not because of Modi. It is because of the people of India. When everyone progresses together, the nation progresses together.”
Referring to digital IDs, Modi said it is well known that more than 850 million Aadhaar IDs have been issued in India. But now, nearly 900 million people have already been provided with unique Digital Health IDs.
He added that these Digital Health IDs will help keep medical records secure and easily accessible. They will make healthcare delivery more efficient, convenient and effective.
‘This is the age of Indian aspirations,’ says PM
Talking about the rapid developments, the PM said, “When historians will look back 50 or 100 years from now, they will assess this period as an era driven by the aspirations of the people of India. This is a new age of Indian aspirations.”
PM Modi also focused on the developments in the banking sector. “Today, banking services are available at the click of a button, anytime and anywhere. Through mobile phones, citizens now have easy access to a wide range of services and opportunities. Technology has empowered people and made everyday life more convenient and efficient,” he said.

‘Paris a city of lights, ideas and innovation’
Modi praised Paris as a city of lights, colours, ideas and innovation and hailed the Indian diaspora for adding to its vibrancy with India’s rich cultural diversity.
Noting that people from every corner of India are in Paris, including Tamils, Punjabis, Gujaratis, Marathis and Bengalis, Modi said that the diaspora has brought new colours to the city and serves as a reflection of India’s unity in diversity.
Modi also said that serving as prime minister of India for 12 consecutive years has been the best experience of his life.
‘India-France partnership a strong pillar of trust, stability, and cooperation’
Stressing on the partnership between India and France, the PM said that the world today is passing through a period of uncertainty and disruption.
“In such times, the India-France partnership is emerging as a strong pillar of trust, stability, and cooperation. We have elevated India-France relations to a Special Global Strategic Partnership. My friend, President Emmanuel Macron, and I have discussed how to make this relationship a force for global good,” he added.
“Whether it is cooperation in solar energy or artificial intelligence, India and France are developing solutions that serve the interests of all humanity,” the PM said.
‘India and France preparing to launch TRISHNA satellite mission next year’
“We are preparing to launch the TRISHNA satellite mission next year. This satellite will contribute to strengthening global food and water security and support governments in making better-informed decisions for sustainable development,” he added.
Concluding his speech, PM Modi said, “The scope of cooperation between our two countries will continue to expand. In every sphere, we are bringing India and France closer together.”
“My fellow countrymen, as India moves rapidly towards becoming a developed and prosperous nation, I urge you to deepen your engagement with India. Your participation will add new strength to India’s development journey and also give you an opportunity to serve the land of your ancestors.
