Over 35 labourers were injured in a major fire that broke out at a building in Surat on Saturday.
The fire which broke out in Shalu Dyeing Mill in the Pandesera area was reportedly due to leakage in an oil after a slab fell on it.
Fire tenders were rushed to the place to douse the fire. The administration had also deployed five officials to rescue the people.
Among the injured ones, three were in critical conditions. The injured people were admitted to Surat's Civil Hospital.
Similar incidents occurred in various parts of the country including Patna, Mumbai, Hyderabad since Friday.
A godown containing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder caught fire in Patna on Saturday. The fire allegedly broke out as a result of a cylinder blast in the premises.
A fire broke out in Hyderabad at a paint godown on Friday evening, following which eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
A massive fire also broke out in Mumbai's Patel Chambers during the wee hours on Saturday which led to a part of the building to collapse. Around 18 fire engines were rushed to the sport immediately, two men were injured in the process.
