Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg thinks that India batter Virat Kohli won't be able to break Sachin Tendulkar's record of most runs in Test cricket. The comments come amid Kohli's run of form which has been going on for a couple of years now.
"I don't think Virat is going to get there now. I just don't think Virat is going to get there. I think he's lost his momentum and the momentum that he's lost has been for a number of years now. He's got to turn around in the next 10 Test matches, or he's going to drop off," Hogg said on his YouTube channel.
Kohli currently has 8,871 Test runs in 114 matches in comparison to Tendulkar who had scored 15,921 Test runs in 200 Tests.

The Indian batter, however, still has a chance to turn things around as India have a longing Test season before them. They are currently playing a two-Test series against Bangladesh at home which they led 1-0.
Kohli failed to score big runs in India's 280-run win in the Chennai Test but will have another shot to get back in the Kanpur Test which starts on Friday (Sep 27).
After that, India hosts New Zealand for three Tests before travelling to Australia for a much-awaited five-Test Border-Gavaskar series.
The Australian, however, believes that England batter Joe Root can very well break Tendulkar's record given the form he's in.
"So, Joe Root has 146 Test matches with 12,000 runs. Sachin Tendulkar made nearly 16,000 runs in 200 Test matches. That's 4,000 runs in 66 Tests. I think Joe Root can go close to toppling that," he added.
"I think it's going to be something to watch. Watch out, Joe Root is on the move to beat Sachin Tendulkar. I think quietly he'll have that in the back of his mind to try and topple that little unique stat," Hogg concluded.
