Angelique Kerber, a German professional tennis player, is all set to compete in the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai.

Kerber rose to fame after reaching the semi-finals of 2011 US Open when she was ranked 92 player in the world.

She was escalated to the top of the rankings on 12 September 2016, becoming the twenty-second and oldest player to achieve the number one ranking for the first time.
She had earned 10 Singles titles across all surfaces on the WTA tour.
She had also won an Olympic silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The WTA Elite Trophy is a round-robin tournament for the top players who could not qualify for the WTA finals.
The tournament includes 12 players which are divided into four groups of three members each. The group winners reach the semi-finals.
Kerber will be playing along with Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Ashleigh Barty.
She made her professional debut in 2003.
