CBI investigation continues

The Central Bureau of Investigation, which was handed the probe into the heinous incident on Tuesday (Aug 13) has interrogated multiple doctors of R G Kar Medical College and Hospital. Dr Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of the R G Kar hospital, has been grilled by the investigative agency for four consecutive days.

Meanwhile, in an interesting twist to the case, Senior Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh has reportedly submitted to the CBI documents related to the corruption of Dr Sandip Ghosh.

The TMC leader claimed that junior doctors of the hospital have supplied all the information and documents related to Sandip Ghosh's corruption. He also said that if CBI finds these documents necessary, the doctors will be happy to cooperate with the agency.

"I have handed over to CBI all the documents given to me by the doctors of RG Kar Hospital...If before 23rd August a breakthrough is reached, then it is better as the arrested accused is presented before the court on that day, then the remand copy will indicate he was the lone culprit or not," said Ghosh.
