Katy and Dua were in India for OnePlus Music Festival that took place on November 16 in Mumbai.
Looks like international artists Dua Lipa and Katy Perry has irked someone back home. Singer Sona Mohapatra took on the two international stars as they came to India last week, performed at a music festival, met some Bollywood stars and went back.
Sona had a problem with the two as they did not meet any singers and music makers from India during their visit.
Sona took to her Instagram as she wrote, "Dear @katyperry & @dualipa , Would you not have liked to hang out, speak music & learn a bit more about our glorious musical traditions with the real Rockstars & Music Makers of India?"
She went on, “Maybe you’d like to attend this centuries old celebration I’m playing for? (Drop me a message) This is one of Asia’s biggest turnout & oldest celebration. Cuttack Balijatra 17th November, Sunday will be EPIC” and then continued to explain what the event was all about with, “Bali Jatra literally means ‘A Voyage to Bali.’ This festival is held in Odisha in the city of Cuttack since 3 B.C to mark the day when ancient mariners would set sail to distant lands of Bali, as well as Java, Sumatra, Borneo (all in Indonesia), & Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) for trade and cultural expansion. Kalinga (Odisha ) was one of the first sea faring kingdoms of Asia. To commemorate this, the festival is celebrated every year from the day of Kartika Purnima (full moon day of the month of Kartika). It is one of Asia’s biggest congregation for trade & culture but little covered in media.”
