A video posted on YouTube shows accused Russian agent Maria Butina at the FreedomFest conference in 2015, the same year Donald Trump attended the Vegas event.
"Maria Butina was an attendee at FreedomFest 2015. She registered on June 25, 2015. Donald Trump wasn't confirmed to speak at FreedomFest until July 4, 2015", Reuters quoted FreedomFest as saying.
Butina has been accused of trying to infiltrate conservative US circles and influence powerful Republicans. Prosecutors have charged her with trying to infiltrate the National Rifle Association and influence the United States' foreign policy toward Russia.
Butina has not been charged with espionage but prosecutors said she had been in contact with Russian intelligence operatives.

The New York Times reported that Butina lied to obtain a student visa and that she offered one US citizen sex in exchange for a job that she apparently hoped would lead to a work visa. And that she moved in with a Republican political operative nearly twice her age. She called him her boyfriend but expressed "disdain" for him in private.
