Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar made alarming statements, threatening to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan unless he apologises for killing a blackbuck in 1998, an act that deeply hurt the sentiments of the Bishnoi community who consider animals sacred. While speaking to India Today, Brar also claimed responsibility for the killing of singer Sidhu Moosewala and expressed his intention to kill Salman Khan. Following the threats, reports indicate that Brar has fled Canada. These statements come in the wake of several threatening calls and letters received by Salman Khan in recent months, leading to increased security outside his house by the Mumbai Police.

Brar emphasised that killing Salman Khan is his life goal, stating that an apology from Lawrence Bishnoi, whom he referred to as "Bhai saheb," is unlikely. "Like we have said earlier, it's not just about Salman Khan. We will continue our attempts against all our enemies as long as we're alive. Salman Khan is our target, there's no doubt about that. We'll keep trying, and when we succeed, you'll know," he said (quoted by Hindustan Times).

More about the movie:

Helmed by Farhad Samji, the film shows Salman as everyone's favourite Bhaijaan. He's a self-defence trainer and is living a bachelor's life with his brothers. However, he falls for a South Indian girl, Bhagyalaxmi, played by Pooja. However, Bhaijaan soon comes to know that Bhagyalaxmi's brother and the entire family have been threatened by a goon. How he protects his girlfriend's family makes up the rest of the story.

Written by Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Tasha Bhambra, the film was released on the occasion of Eid. Grossing ₹182.44 crore (US$23 million) worldwide, the movie did a decent box office collection worldwide.

WION's film critic Shomini Sen wrote in her review: Ultimately, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan works only for its action sequences in the second half - provided you have the palate for incessant punches and mind-numbing stunts. Both Khan and Venkatesh somewhat uplift the climax but the film's writers Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Tasha Bhambra's lazy writing shows.

Pooja Hegde and Salman Khan's romance- which forms the core story- is ice cold. It's like the girl is romancing a cucumber. In fact, Salman's inability to emote much is incorporated cleverly in one scene where he holds the same straight face when his lady love asks him to emote. Quite meta, I'd say. Also, the way the brothers decide to choose the girl for their beloved Bhaijaan is bizarre. One moment they decide and pray to god that they want a girl for their brother, and the next second, the girl lands right in front of them. Also, no background check is done for her- so much for loving their Bhaijaan. The girl could have easily been replaced by a pigeon flying past them- they would have chosen it for their Bhai.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan OTT release date: Here's when Salman Khan's film will release on digital platform

Filmmaking is an interdependent process but many fail to realise this. Indian actor Arshad Warsi has proved his worth by brilliantly portraying iconic roles in blockbuster films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Dhamaal, Golmaal etc. However, he feels his potential has not been tapped to the full extent in Bollywood. Recently, the actor revealed that a lot of leading actors kicked him out of movies due to their personal insecurity. Arshad made this revelation in a new interview as he spoke about his life in the industry. He stated many insecure actors had a fear that he might steal their spotlight.

The statement

At his appearance on RJ Siddharth Kannan’s show, Arshad Warsi mentioned how he was kicked out of projects by many insecure men. On the other hand, a couple of actors like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt let him perform to his optimum capacity in supporting roles in their movies which is why he agreed on doing the films in the first place.

Arshad shared the screen with Sanjay Dutt in the blockbuster film Munna Bhai series. He has worked with Salman in a supporting role in his film Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. During the interview, he also said, “In fact, one of the reasons I originally did Munna Bhai MBBS was because of Sanju. He's such a secure actor that I knew he'd let me do my own thing.” He went on to confess that initially, he was sceptical about playing the character of Circuit in Munna Bhai. He thought he would not get any recognition for his role even if the film was successful.

Arshad added he considered himself as a sidekick to a goon and felt supporting actors don't really get recognised for their parts.

Upcoming projects

The Dedh Ishqiya actor will next be seen in Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay Kumar. According to Bollywood Spy, Arshad stated that Akshay Kumar is “a riot” and that he's looking forward to working with him. In the past Arshad and Akshay had worked together in Bachchhan Paandey which failed at the box office.

Death threat lingers over Bollywood star Salman Khan as a threatening email in the name of jailed gangster Goldy Brar was sent by an Indian student in the UK.
Salman Khan's latest Eid release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is earning good numbers at the box office. Within three days of its release, the film has reportedly earned over Rs 68 crores, (USD 83 million approx). The film has gained big numbers mostly because of the leading man though it is a multi-starter. Along with Khan, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Bhumika Chawla, Shenaaz Gill and others.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh stated that Sunday collection contributed to a major chunk of earnings. The film's ticket sales totalled Rs 26 crore ( USD 31 million approx) just on Sunday which helped boost the total collection. The film was released a day before Eid and the total collection was Rs 15.81 crore on the first day.

Adarsh, however, stated that the actual box office test for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan begins on Monday.

"Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan packs a solid total in its opening weekend…Salman Khan's star power + Eid festivities ensured House Full boards across many properties on Saturday and Sunday. Friday ₹ 15.81 cr, Saturday ₹ 25.75 cr, Sunday ₹ 26.61 cr. Total: ₹ 68.17 cr. India biz. The jump on Saturday and Sunday - in mass circuits specifically - has contributed to a big, fat total. In fact, a major chunk of revenue has come from this sector, which is a good sign since many films were struggling to stay afloat in mass pockets this year. The real test for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan starts today [Monday]. It's a wait-and-watch situation right now," Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan box office collection day 3: Salman Khan's film doing steady business

The entire country is celebrating the festival of Eid-al-Fitr today, and to mark the special occasion, Salman Khan came out on the balcony of his Galaxy apartment to greet his fans, who gathered outside his building to catch a glimpse of the actor. Hours after Khan dropped a picture with Aamir Khan and wished his fans, the actor showed up on the balcony of his house. Later, his father, veteran writer Salim Khan, also joined him on the balcony. Wearing traditional attire, Khan was looking dapper in the blue pathani. In the videos and photos that have gone viral, the actor can be seen waving at the sea of fans gathered outside his apartment. Take a look: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) × Later, the actor shared a photo of him waving at the fans on his Instagram. In the caption, he wrote, ''Aap sabhi ko Eid Mubarak!'' Sharing the photo, he wrote, ''Chand Mubarak 🌙.'' In the picture, Khan looked handsome in a black shirt. The actor can be seen taking the selfie with Aamir, who is casually dressed in a blue T-shirt. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) × Khan celebrated the auspicious day with his entire family. His brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, shared a family photo on his Instagram handle. Almost like every year, this year Khan booked Eid for the release of his new movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi ki Jaan. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Sidharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, and more.
Salman Khan Day is here. Also known as Eid to many, the festival celebrated by Muslims has over the years become synonymous with the day when Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's big-budget films hit theatres. This year, Salman takes his Bhai (big brother) status literally in Fahad Samji's film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Throughout the film, Salman is either addressed as Bhai, Bhaijaan or simply Jaan. His character has no name, religion and cast do not bind him and he chants Vande Mataram before bashing goons double his size. He also recites proses from the Geeta to woo the girl of his dreams. He is the leader of a pack - which operates in set of threes. He has been a foster parent and overall big brother to three orphans, whom he calls his own. He has three friends, his tackles three villains...you get the drift?

His young brothers seem to operate together. They hang out together, fight together, get emotional at the same time about the same things, romance and go on dates together. So when the three brothers, (who also dress up similarly and have similar beards and cannot really be distinguished from each other) want to get married, their only hindrance is their elder brother, Bhaijaan. The man had apparently vowed never to get married or let his younger brothers marry as a woman can ruin their bond.

The three brothers decide to break that vow and find a girl for their Bhaijaan in order to settle down with their respective girlfriends. The yardstick is pretty simple, the girl should be called Bhagya, which was Bhaijaan's ex-girlfriend's name. Their wish is fulfilled when Bhagyalakshmi comes to their colony to stay for a month. She is an antique conservationist we are told but never really works. We do see her being friends with the three brothers and very strangely falling for the scruffy, unkept, long-haired, and nearly mute Bhaijaan because the bhais want them to hook up. She calls him Jaan, they fall in love over the course of two songs and soon realise that her family's life is in threat from a local goon in Hyderabad.

A self-professed protector to one and all, Salman and company move to Hyderabad to meet Bhagya's family and fight goons- south style with over-the-top action sequences where everyone believes in using axes and swords to attack. Guns are clearly child's play in this part of the town. I don't have to tell you how the rest of the story pans out.
First thing first. Salman looks old and tired. His swagger remains but the film's plot, inspired by Tamil film Veeram is so generic and silly that Khan's superstardom cannot uplift it. The original film was made in 2014 and a lot has changed, perhaps not so much in Salman's movies. Pooja Hegde holds her own in a role that has so limited scope for her but she makes Bhagya relatable. There are also veteran actors like Rohini Hattangadi and Venkatesh who do a good job in a film about Bhai. It's also good to see the late actor Satish Kaushik in a cameo role.

There are also a bunch of new faces playing Salman's brothers and their hoes. Poorly written with limited dialogues, actors Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill are all just there- playing caricature roles. All well-known Internet and TV stars in their own right- they are totally wasted in the film.

Ultimately, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan works only for its action sequences in the second half - provided you have the palate for incessant punches and mind-numbing stunts. Both Khan and Venkatesh somewhat uplift the climax but the film's writers Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Tasha Bhambra's lazy writing shows.

Logic though is not the priority for Salman's film. It has never been. But at least Samji should have tried to get a few tweaks to suit the present time or present Khan in a new avatar. Instead, it feels like Salman Khan is playing himself- just with an annoying wig on his head.

The film is also a reminder of the growing influence of South Indian films across India. Khan has been one of the early few Bollywood stars to have worked in several remakes of South hits. In his latest, instead of adapting it, he heads south- to copy-paste a very successful template.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, ultimately, is for Salman Khan loyalists. It's an average film, presenting the superstar in a tried and tested format. Nothing extraordinary.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan review: Salman Khan defies logic one head butt at a time

Palak Tiwari caused a furore on the internet over her comment on Salman Khan's strict dress code rule on the set of his films for women. However, the young star has clarified her remark but the actress and her comment remain one of the hottest topics. However, now, Shehnaaz Gill, who is all set to make her debut in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, has reacted to her co-star’s remark.

Rebutting Palak's comment, Shehnaaz said that there is nothing like that.

During her short interaction with the media, Shehnaaz said, ''Nothing like that, I wore a very sexy dress during the promotion. Salman sir keeps motivating me and saying that you will grow in your career.”

Praising Salman further, the Big Boss contestant said, “He is the same in reality as he is seen on the stage of Bigg Boss. I can’t see any difference in him. He gives good advice to others and motivates them. He corrected me and asked me to concentrate on my work. I am doing the same and learning Hindi.”

Palak, who is all set to make a big debut with Salman's upcoming film, sparked a huge debate with her bizarre comment about Salman's strict dress code instructions for women present on the set of his film.

Calling Salman quite a “traditionalist'', Palak said that Salman Khan instructed all women on Antim sets to avoid wearing low, plunging necklines.

She said, "When I was AD-ing with Salman sir on Antim, I don't think many people know this, Salman Sir had a rule 'Ki koi bhi ladki mere set pe, neckline should be here (for every girl on my set, the neckline should be here), all the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’. So my mom saw me (going to set) in a proper shirt, jogger and covered and all. She was like, 'Where are you going? How are you dressed so well?' I said I am going to Salman
Sir's set. She was like 'Wow, very good'."
Salman sir keeps motivating me and saying that you will grow in your career.” Praising Salman further, the Big Boss contestant said, “He is the same in reality as he is seen on the stage of Bigg Boss. I can’t see any difference in him. He gives good advice to others and motivates them. He corrected me and asked me to concentrate on my work. I am doing the same and learning Hindi.” Palak, who is all set to make a big debut with Salman's upcoming film, sparked a huge debate with her bizarre comment about Salman's strict dress code instructions for women present on the set of his film. How are you dressed so well?' I said I am going to Salman Sir's set. She was like 'Wow, very good'." "He’s a traditionalist... Of course, he’s like ‘Jo pehenna hai pehno (wear what you like)', but he’s always like ‘My girls should always be protected’.
Salman Khan’s new song from his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Yentamma, is in the news for all the wrong reasons. A dance number starring Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Ram Charan, and Pooja Hegde has come under fire for the misuse of veshti and silly dance steps. (Veshti is a traditional attire for men from Tamil Nadu and some parts of Sri Lanka).

Former cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has criticised the Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan song in which Salman, Ram, and Venkatesh wore bright yellow shirts and white veshtis. Calling the song “ridiculous”, the former cricketer said, "This is highly ridiculous and degrading our South Indian culture. This is not a lungi, this is a dhoti. A classical outfit which is being shown in a disgusting manner."

Salman Khan made some controversial remarks regarding OTT content at an event recently after he urged filmmakers to make “clean content”. The Bollywood actor asked for censorship of digital platforms and said that filmmakers should not cross the limit.

“I really think there should be censorship on the medium (OTT). All these… vulgarity, nudity, gaali galauch (swearing) should stop. Kids as young as 15 or 16-year-old can watch them all. Would you like it if your young daughter watches it? I just think the content on OTT should be checked. Jitna clean hoga content, utna behtar hoga, viewership uski zyada hogi (the cleaner the content, the better it will be. It will also have a better viewership),” said Salman Khan at the event.

On the security risks it poses to artists, Salman added, “You have done it all – love making, kissing and exposing scenes. And when you enter your building, your watchman has also watched your work. I just don’t think that is right for security reasons. We don’t need to do that… Hindustan mein rehte hai, thoda boht theek hai lekin itna zyada beech mein ho gya tha. Ab jake thoda control mein aya hai (You don’t need to cross the boundary. We live in India. It was way too much before, finally, it has been curbed). Now, people have started working on a lot of good and decent content.”

Salman is known for never indulging in physical romance on the big screen. He has a no-kissing policy on the big screen and refrains from a lot of intimacy in films.

Salman is yet to make his OTT debut. He does TV and films for now but many of his recent theatrical films have made their way to OTT after running in theatres successfully.
For those who loved Salman Khan's cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan earlier this year, there is good news. The two actors will share the screen space once again in Yash Raj Films' upcoming spy thriller- Tiger vs Pathaan. The film is a part of YRF Spy Universe and the Khans will reprise their roles as Indian Intelligence officers Pathaan and Tiger. The film will be helmed by War and Pathaan director Siddharth Anand.

Speaking to Variety, a source close to the project said, "Siddharth is getting a dream cast of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together for their first full-fledged film since Karan Arjun (1995), and Siddharth will also be given all the support he needs to mount Tiger vs Pathaan as the biggest film that India has ever produced."

Principal photography on the film will begin in January 2024.

The news comes days after YRF announced that WAR 2 - another film part of the Spy Universe- will have Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR playing the lead roles. The film will be helmed by Ayan Mukerji.

In the Tiger franchise, Salman Khan plays Avinash Singh Rathore, AKA Tiger, who belongs to Indian intelligence agency RAW and Kaif plays Zoya Humaini from Pakistan’s ISI. In War, Roshan is rogue RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal and Shroff his protégé Khalid Rahmani.
In Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan plays exiled RAW agent Pathaan and Padukone ISI agent Rubina Mohsin.

Salman had an extended cameo in Pathaan and the film also featured Colonel Sunil Luthra (Ashutosh Rana), who first appeared in War and is expected to be in Tiger 3 as well.

The ending of Pathaan stood out for most fans as it featured Tiger and Pathaan discussing their possible replacements without naming anyone and eventually concluding that they would have to carry out the task themselves and save the nation as it cannot be left in the hands of children.
The spy universe kicked off with the Tiger franchise, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, beginning with Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and continued with War (2019), starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. All the films have been top-grossers. The next film to release in the spy universe will be Tiger 3 which again stars Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan. The film will release in November 2023 during the Diwali festival. The next film in the spy universe, Tiger 3, is due a release in November, over the Diwali festival holiday frame. Pathaan movie review: It serves brand Shah Rukh Khan well In the Tiger franchise, Salman Khan plays Avinash Singh Rathore, AKA Tiger, who belongs to Indian intelligence agency RAW and Kaif plays Zoya Humaini from Pakistan’s ISI. There are speculations of SRK's cameo in Tiger 3 but YRF has not confirmed the news yet.

The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, who has earlier directed blockbuster action films like 'Bang Bang!' and 'War'. Pathaan box office collection Day 1: Shah Rukh Khan film scores biggest first-day haul for a Hindi film

As Bollywood superstar Salman Khan turned a year older, he celebrated his birthday on Monday night with his friends from the film industry. In attendance were celebrities like Tabu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kartik Aaryan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Genelia D'Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan too made a fashionably late entry to the bash which was held at Salman's sister Arpita's home.

While Salman came out to see off several of his guests, including SRK, a video of him and his ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani doing the rounds of the internet. The video has Salman walking out of the building with Sangeeta while chatting with her. As the duo wait for her car to arrive, they hug first and then Salman plants a kiss on Sangeeta's forehead and says "I love you" before escorting her to the car.

On Monday, all roads in Mumbai led to Salman Khan's birthday bash. Bollywood stars made their presence felt as Khan rang in his 57th birthday at his younger sister Arpita Khan Sharma's pad. Shah Rukh Khan made a fashionably late entry to the party and dashed quickly inside without stopping for a photo op. The two Bollywood stars eventually obliged the paps in the wee hours of Tuesday as SRK came out with birthday boy Salman Khan and hugged and posed together before SRK headed back home. Photos and videos of the actors hugging at the party are trending on social media since Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, Salman also cut a cake with the paparazzi stationed outside the venue. The actor greeted them with folded hands.
